Cecilia Strokirk

Project Manager at RISE, Sweden’s Research Institute

A visionary with great experience, researcher and project manager for improving transport and logistics connectivity on a global scale – this is Cecilia Strokirk.

We are happy to announce that a guest speaker at the 12th Logistics Business Conference "DELIVERING THE FUTURE: INNOVATIVE AND COMPETITIVE" will be a specialist from the European stage with over 25 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics and transport. Currently, Cecilia Strokirk is a Project Manager at RISE, Sweden’s research institute and innovation partner, responsible for initiatives related to ensuring the conditions for the continuity of transport and logistics operations (Seamless Transports & Logistics).

At the logistics event of the year on 8.10.2024 at Sofia Event Center, guest speaker Cecilia Strokirk will talk about "New solutions for a sustainable future of transport and logistics". What are the significant successes of science and entrepreneurship in mobility and supply chain management? How digitalization and the European community's commitment to environmental protection transforming the face of modern logistics and what are the key trends in the sector? We will expect the answers from Cecilia Strokirk.

What else do you need to know about her? She is a member of the advisory board of the Foundation for Future Supply Chain. For more than 18 years, she has also contributed as a European Senior Logistician to the European Logistics Association (ELA), and until 2014 she was on the Board of Directors of the association.

From 2016 to 2020, she was Head of Transport & Logistics, Industry Engagement at GS1 Sweden. She has also been a business development manager at both the Swedish logistics company Logent AB and at SILF, the Swedish Purchasing and Logistics Association for 8 years, among other assignments.

She is proud to be part of the initiators of the CEF-funded FEDeRATED project (2019-2024) – an innovative platform for data exchange in transports and logistics.

She project lead the implementation of the activities of the MMIS project (Multimodal Information Sharing Living Lab) in partnership with the company Alleima (formerly Sandvik).

Cecilia Strokirk has participated in the project DiG (Drone deliveries in rural areas). The project aimed to test new solutions in municipal climate protection policies through new technologies in the Norrtälje archipelago, located near Stockholm, made up of over 13,000 islands.

Since June this year, Cecilia Strokirk has added a new role to her professional engagements – she is now part of the DTLF (Digital Transport and Logistics Forum) platform. This is an expert group of the European Commission (EC), which brings together stakeholders from the public and private sectors, as well as a number of representatives of the transport and logistics sector. The goal of DTLF, founded in 2015, is to promote digital transformation in the transport and logistics industry.
